🎨 Document Scan Filters

Learn what each scanning mode does and choose the best option for your document.

Original / None
Keeps the image exactly as captured by the camera sensor without modifying colors, brightness, or contrast. Ideal for preserving the exact state or flaws of a document.
Color Document / Magic Color
Automatically detects the background paper and whitens it while boosting the saturation and contrast of text, logos, stamps, and signatures. This is a strong general-purpose option for modern document scanning.
Binarization / Black and White (B&W)
Converts every pixel into pure black or pure white based on a threshold. It removes much of the gray background and produces high-contrast text with a relatively small file size.
Grayscale
Removes color information and converts the document into shades of gray. It is useful for handwritten notes, pencil sketches, old documents, and materials where a strict black-and-white threshold could remove fine details.
Shadow Removal / Flattening
Reduces uneven lighting and shadows across the page. This can help clean up shadows caused by hands, phones, edges of the document, or overhead lighting while keeping important text and details visible.
Photo / High Definition (HD)
Preserves richer colors, gradients, and image detail while making moderate brightness and contrast adjustments. It is suitable for documents containing photographs, illustrations, glossy pages, or other detailed imagery.
Clean Scan
Converts the document toward a cleaner grayscale appearance and brightens very light areas. It is useful when you want a simple, readable document without completely removing intermediate shades.
